Meet the Owner

Colin Grim​
Owner of Grim Builders LLC

Colin was born and raised in Southeastern Connecticut, where he resides with his wife and daughter. He has always valued lifelong learning, earning him his Associates in Criminal Justice; as well as continued education towards a B.A. in Sociology from Eastern Connecticut State University. Colin discovered that his true passions were creating and building residential projects and leading others to accomplish a successful outcome. Through the many years in the construction industry, Colin has developed knowledge and understanding in all phases of home building and remodeling. He was led under mentorships with award winning general contractors with decades of experience. Being trained and prepared Colin took his own path and formed Grim Builders LLC, where he provides professional service to Southeastern Connecticut. When not working on projects Colin enjoy's adventuring outdoors with his family and serving at his local church.

We guide you through the process and walk you through each step. Some contractors are brief and blunt and can take weeks to get back in touch; putting the stress on you. We are different. We are always accessible and timely. We do the heavy lifting to make sure you understand every aspect from permits to inspections to building.

We Do it One way, the Right Way...

We firmly believe that nothing outweighs doing something the right way. Unfortunately, many contractors take shortcuts, not obtaining permits, hiding issues a homeowner might not see, and not being licensed and insured are some examples.  We promise to make sure it’s done right. Proper paperwork? Always. Licensed and Insured? Always. Being upfront and honest with you? Always.
